Biological Activity:
Biological activity was determined by its ability to chemoattract human activated T cells cultured in the presence of IL-2 using a concentration range of 10.0-100.0 ng/ml.

Storage Conditions:
The lyophilized Exodus-2 recombinant protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Reconstituted Exodus-2 is stable for at least 3 months when stored in working aliquots with a carrier protein at -20°C. As with any protein, exposing Exodus-2 recombinant protein to repeated freeze / thaw cycles is not recommended. When working with proteins care should be taken to keep recombinant protein at a cool and stable temperature.

Background:
Exodus-2 is a CC chemokine that can signal through the CCR7 receptor. It is expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells, the spleen and appendix. Exodus-2 chemoattracts T and B lymphocytes and inhibits hematopoiesis. Exodus-2 contains six cysteine residues, including the four conserved cysteines present in CC chemokines. Recombinant murine Exodus-2 is a 12.0 kDa protein containing 110 amino acid residues.
