Background:
Regulator of G-protein signalling 6 , RGS6; 231-265 is a unique region for RGS6 family. Members of the RGS (regulator of G protein signaling) family have been shown to modulate the functioning of G proteins by activating the intrinsic GTPase activity of the α (guanine nucleotide-binding) subunits. RGS6 negatively regulates G protein-coupled receptor signalling.
