Immunoprecipitation of CD213a2/IL-13 R alpha 2 from 300 µg extracts of A-375 cells was performed using 0.5 µg of CD213a2/IL-13 R alpha 2 Rabbit mAb (A27168). Rabbit IgG isotype control (AC005) was used to precipitate the Control IgG sample. IP samples were eluted with 1X reducing Laemmli Buffer. The Input lane represents 10% of the total input. Western blot analysis of immunoprecipitates was conducted using CD213a2/IL-13 R alpha 2 Rabbit mAb (A27168) at a dilution of 1:5000.

Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is closely related to Il13RA1, a subuint of the interleukin 13 receptor complex. This protein binds IL13 with high affinity, but lacks cytoplasmic domain, and does not appear to function as a signal mediator. It is reported to play a role in the internalization of IL13.
