To a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100ul/well), a concentration of 8.0-9.0 ug/ml of this antibody will detect recombinant human IL-11 when used with ProSci's biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IL-11 (XP-5164Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 2.0-4.0 ug/ml.

This antibody stained human brain stroke (including control cortex and stroke core areas) tissue. The primary antibody was incubated at 2.5 ug/ml overnight at 4C. This was followed by a fluorophore conjugated secondary antibody. Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.

Neutralization:
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of human IL-11 (5.0 ng/mL), a concentration of 2.4 - 3.6 μg/mL of this antibody is required.
ELISA:
In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), a concentration of 8-9 μg/mL of this antibody will detect at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant human IL-11 when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human IL-11(XP-5164Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of at least 2 μg/mL.

Storage Conditions:
IL-11 lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/mL. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4°C when reconstituted.
