Western blot analysis of various lysates using MRC2 Rabbit mAb at 1:1000 dilution incubated overnight at 4℃. | Secondary antibody: HRP-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10000 dilution. | Lysates/proteins: 25 μg per lane. | Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST. | Detection: ECL Basic Kit. | Negative control (NC): Daudi | Exposure time: 60s.
Flow cytometry: 1X10^6 Daudi cells (negative control,left) and U-138 MG cells (right) were surface-stained with MRC2 Rabbit mAb or Rabbit IgG isotype control, followed by PE conjugated goat anti-rabbit pAb staining. Non-fluorescently stained cells were used as blank control (red line).

Background:
This gene encodes a member of the mannose receptor family of proteins that contain a fibronectin type II domain and multiple C-type lectin-like domains. The encoded protein plays a role in extracellular matrix remodeling by mediating the internalization and lysosomal degradation of collagen ligands. Expression of this gene may play a role in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of several malignancies including breast cancer, gliomas and metastatic bone disease.
