Background:
The protein encoded by this gene is a zinc finger proteincontaining a KRAB domain. Studies in mouse suggest that thisprotein may function as a transcriptional repressor. Mutations inthis gene have been associated with transient neonatal diabetesmellitus type 1 (TNDM1).
